Frozen rosé became the sound of summer in the mid-2010s, when bars started blending pink wine with ice and fruit for something cold, bright and impossible to drink slowly. This version keeps that spirit and adds ripe peach.

A measure of Vodka 51 Connoisseur Reserve gives the slushie a smoother, fuller body, so it tastes like fruit and wine rather than ice. The peach schnapps deepens the stone-fruit notes, and a squeeze of lemon keeps everything fresh.

Summer in a glass. Made in under five minutes.

How to make it

Chill a large wine glass in the freezer.

Add the frozen peach slices, Vodka 51 Connoisseur Reserve, rosé, peach schnapps and fresh lemon juice to a blender.

Blend in short pulses until thick and completely smooth. Taste and add a splash more rosé if you want it looser.

Pour into the chilled glass, garnish with a fresh peach slice and serve straight away with a short straw.

From the Master Blender

Freeze the peaches yourself when they are perfectly ripe and you will taste the difference. Blend in short pulses rather than one long run: the slushie stays thick and silky instead of turning watery. If it is too thick, add a splash more rosé, never water.
