Lingonberries grow wild across the Swedish forest floor, and every Swede knows their bright, tart taste. They are also one of the botanicals in Purity Gin 34 Nordic London Dry, alongside juniper, thyme and basil.

The Nordic Tonic puts those botanicals in plain sight. Frozen lingonberries replace part of the ice, chilling the drink while they slowly release their color and gentle tartness. A sprig of thyme adds an herbal lift. The gin brings structure and balance, and the tonic opens every layer.

Red berries, green thyme, Nordic character. A gin and tonic you recognize from across the room.

How to make it

Fill a copa or large wine glass halfway with ice.

Add a small handful of frozen lingonberries.

Pour in Gin 34 Nordic London Dry, then top slowly with chilled tonic water.

Clap a sprig of thyme between your palms to release its aroma, tuck it into the glass and give one gentle stir.

From the Master Blender

Freeze the lingonberries in a single layer on a tray so they stay separate. Use them straight from the freezer: they keep the drink cold, look beautiful and release flavor slowly as you sip. Clap the thyme between your palms before adding it to wake up the aroma.
