Optional: 1/4 oz / 0.5 cl egg white, for froth

The Gimlet is usually traced to the British Royal Navy of the 1800s, when sailors mixed their spirit ration with lime to keep scurvy at bay. What began as a practical habit became one of the cleanest, sharpest classics in the cocktail world.

The Nordic Frost reimagines it with vodka and a touch of froth. Vodka 34 Signature Edition brings Effortless Smoothness, so the lime tastes bright and clean rather than sour, and the optional foam adds a soft, wintry texture.

Crisp as a Scandinavian winter morning. Refined from the first sip.

How to make it

Chill a coupe or martini glass.

Add Vodka 34 Signature Edition, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and egg white (if using) to a cocktail shaker.

If using egg white, shake without ice for about 10 seconds to build the froth. Then fill with ice and shake again until well chilled.

Strain into the chilled glass and serve straight away.

From the Master Blender

Always use freshly squeezed lime. Bottled lime juice turns a Gimlet flat. Squeeze it within an hour of serving, and taste one drop before you shake: limes vary a lot, and a few drops more or less syrup make all the difference.
