The Cosmopolitan became one of the defining cocktails of the late 1980s and 1990s, and it was built on citrus vodka from the very beginning. Pink, crisp and elegant, it never really went out of style.

Purity Citron 34 is a natural fit. Its bright lemon character on the smooth foundation of Purity 34 lifts the cranberry and lime, while a little triple sec adds orange depth. The result is a Cosmopolitan that feels fresh, balanced and beautifully clean.

Pink, polished and perfectly at home in any decade.

How to make it

Chill a Martini glass.

Add Citron 34, cranberry juice, triple sec and lime juice to a shaker.

Fill with ice and shake for about 12 seconds, until well chilled.

Strain into the chilled glass and express an orange twist over the top.

From the Master Blender

Flame the orange twist for a little theatre: hold it peel side down over the glass, warm it briefly with a match and squeeze. The oils caramelize slightly and add a lovely toasted citrus aroma.
